Recycled Restaurant (Casa Decor Barcelona 2008)

We were commissioned to design the restaurant of Casa Decor 2008 in Barcelona. The theme this year was "Pathway to a Sustainable Environment". Our concept was to mix unfinished or recycled materials with furnishing and finishes that are more refined. Our idea is based on contrast to give value to materials for their aspect rather than their cost. We wanted to demonstrate that it can achieve a stylish and sophisticated space with recycled materials and a limited budget.
Project made in collaboration with NRDC.

Ephemeral Tableware

Lifestyle changes continuously, we cannot deny it. By year 2015, most objects we use in everyday life will evolve for sure, along with our daily habits: the way we dress and the way we eat. Facing a vast array of objects and social practices (material culture), I believe than in years to come we will give more priority to individual experience by feeling and trying out any object, prior to buying it. My project departs from this idea: ephemeral dishes made out of organic bread; that allow you to have a more ecological and healthy experience while eating. In an overdesigned world it will be highly significant to go back to our roots.

Tribeca Lounge Chair

The Tribeca upholstered chair was designed as a modernized version of the classic wing chair. The front and the back are in ashwood and it can be upholstered in leather or different fabric combinations.

This is a new version with small speakers in the "wings" and a sub-buffer under the seat so you can connect your ipod. The back feet have been replaced by wheels to facilitate moving the chair. This version is available in silver fabric. Watch this video and dance with us!!!

Romantic Functionality

Against Biofuels

Interiors for Fun (Casa Decor Barcelona 2006)

Catching Shadows (Hack your Furniture)

March 2006. Sunny sunday in Parc de la Ciutadella. I went to catch some shadows to hack our IKEA'S Jeff Chair. Do-it-yourself design. Go for a walk and turn your serial produce furniture in something unique. Furnish your house with little memories.

True Global Religion

No Islam, forget about Catholic Church...the true global religion is consumerism. Steve Jobs, Tom Ford & Phillipe Starck our leaders. We have to be aware of that and be responsible and smart.

Eat a hamburger, drink a coffee, just do it.....(?)

Roof Landscapes

Roof landscapes attempts to be a communication tool that teaches kids about the importance of design as an instrument of positive change, to make them aware of the never-ending challenge to become a more tolerant and compassionate society. The aim of this project is to develop workshops where children propose solutions to the problems of our characters.

The Gnu could be a immigrant who can't communicate, how can we help him?, What can we design for the Boy-without-a-foot if he wants to get a job?, How we can help Toni the Parrot to prevent animal abuse?

Undress Flower Vase
